(KTR Membership)
The KTR –"Internationaler Klub für Tibetische Hunderassen e.V." is a Pedigree Breed Club following the regulations of the “VDH” (the German Association for Dog Breeders). Its purpose is the promotion and breeding of all four Tibetan Breeds: Do Khyi, Lhasa Apso, Tibetan Spaniel und Tibetan Terrier; according to the International Breeding Strategies of the FCI (Fédération Cynologique Internationale).
The KTR is not only the very first German Club for Tibetan Breeds but also the oldest Club worldwide, looking after all four of them.
The KTR was founded in 1967 as a “non-profit-making organization” with its registered office in Bad Homburg, Germany.
The KTR unites friends, owners and breeders of Tibetan dogs with the aim to add to the understanding of history, cultural significance and traditional type of the Tibetan Breeds. Furthermore to encourage and safeguard keeping and breeding with the goal to guarantee a safe future, maintaining their unique appearance and breeding functionally healthy dogs with a good construction and mentality typical to the breed.
At this present time the KTR has about 600 members, brought together from 16 countries all over the world.
(Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, Hungary and USA)
Everyone in agreement with the regulations of the VDH as well as the goals and values of the KTR and willing to support the Club community can become a member.
The annual membership fee (full member) includes “KTR-aktuell” and you can request the monthly magazine “Unser Rassehund” issued by the VDH in addition.

Please return the signed application to the KTR office. You will then receive a confirmation and the bank details for your payment.
