Wil Schrander

Judge Portrait Wil Schrander:

Wil Schrander, born in 1951, is teacher. Due to her job, there are no dogs living in her household.

In the past Miniature Pinscher, American Cocker Spaniel and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel belonged to the family. More than 10 years ago Mrs Schrander was Cavalier King Charles Spaniel kennel partner in "v.h. Lamslag kennel", but since 14 years she has no kennel name of her own. Mrs Schrander likes to visit kennels that are raising breeds judged by her and she reads articles and books about these breeds. She is interested in Buddhism, Tibet, Yoga and she likes to go for a walk.

Mrs Schrander looks back to 25 years of judging experience of numerous Spaniel breeds and Tibetan Terrier, Tibetan Spaniel, Lhasa Apso and Shih Tzu. Nevertheless, she still has the ambition to broaden her repertoire towards the breeds Do Khyi, Shiba Inu and Akita Inu. As judge, Mrs Schrander likes to see exhibitors showing their dogs with pleasure. With antipathy she sees rude handling and dragging of tail and leash. Yet Mrs Schrander has been judging in the Netherlands, Finland, Sweden, Belgium, England, North Ireland and France. Judging Shih Tzu in Dortmund was very impressing to her because of their wonderful quality and the perfect organisation. She was also taken with club shows in England and North Ireland, where she has been judging wonderful Cavaliers in outstanding atmosphere.

Mrs Schrander is proud of her collaboration as breed specialist on a book of the Netherland Publishing House: BB, Press, Series World of .... about Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. This book was written with the collaboration of international enthusiasts of this breed. For a long time Mrs. Schrander was board member and chairwoman of the Netherland Cavalier Club. Now she is chairwoman of the Netherland Club of American Cocker Spaniel.

Mrs Schrander is judging in English language.
